SOLD OUT

Press On for the Holidays is a fundraising campaign for Press On to CURE Childhood Cancer. The mission of Press On is to provide funding for clinical research relating to neuroblastoma and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), particularly the development of new, targeted therapies and improvements to make current therapies less toxic.

Press On was formed in June of 2007 by native Augustans Erin and Stephen Chance. Patrick was diagnosed in June of 2006, at the age of 3, with Stage IV neuroblastoma. At the age of 8, he continues to fight this cruel disease. Tara and Turner Simkins joined forces with the Chances after their son, Brennan, was diagnosed with AML in January 2009 on the eve of his seventh birthday. Brennan has bravely fought his way through 4 bone marrow transplants. The Chances and Simkins believe that together they can truly make a difference in children’s lives and that, aided by true friendship and faith, they will Press On for a CURE.

With overwhelming support from the community last year, we sold 1130 pots and contributed $15,400 to Press On for research funding. This year our goal is to sell 1500 pots. Easy to Grow Bulbs (www.EasytoGrowBulbs.com) has again partnered with us so that we can provide premium paperwhite and amaryllis bulbs. Please support all of our sponsors, including Georgia State Floral Distributors, Cold Creek Nurseries, Hobby Lobby, and Home Depot.

The lovely ceramic cache pots will be wrapped and ribboned to make perfect holiday gifts. The paperwhites are $20 for a pot of three planted bulbs. The pot with one large amaryllis bulb is $25. Orders will be taken September 1 through October 26 for delivery in mid to late November.
