Day 9: Saturday Recap
Posted on September 9, 2017 by Sarah Turner Davis
Every Saturday this month we’ll give you a quick recap of the week, just in case you missed something! This week we focused on our founding member Patrick Chance and his disease, Neuroblastoma.
Monday: How Patrick Chance fought Neuroblastoma over half his life, and how his legacy continues through Press On.
Tuesday: Neuroblastoma~ what it is, how we fight it, and how treatments are not yet advanced enough to save 2 out of 3 kids who face it.
Wednesday: A message from Patrick’s family on why they continue to Press On.
Thursday: Hero Highlight ~ Burke the Brave and his own journey with neuroblastoma.
Did you know that 50% of neuroblastoma cases are misdiagnosed, just like Burke’s?
Friday: A Cancer Prayer.
Thank you for going on this journey with us. Tune in Monday as we highlight Brennan Simkins and Acute Myeloid Leukemia. And if you’re in the Atlanta area, make sure you sign up for Play for Patrick! Registration is open for all events, taking place over September 22-25th, with activities for all ages from kids to adults! All proceeds go to Press On!
P.S. Our goals for ACTION are so audacious they literally cannot be achieved without your help. For the entire month of September, every dollar donated to Press On ~ up to $250,000! ~ will be MATCHED for Target Pediatric AML (“TpAML”), a MOONSHOT project aimed at identifying genomic targets for pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia patients so that researchers can create specific, targeted treatments. These targeted ~ and consequently less toxic ~ treatments FOR KIDS are what Press On is all about! Please, if you are comfortable doing so, take just a few minutes of your time to DONATE NOW and SHARE today’s blog post on your Facebook page, or share via personal email with friends whom you believe have the passion to help us make a difference.
Thank you for supporting the Press On Fund!
