Day 15: Occupy Hope with Us
September 15th, 2017 by Sarah Turner Davis
30 Days to Press On is about creating a collective consciousness working toward a common goal: A world without childhood cancer. Today, we bring you a meditation written by Brennan’s mother Tara, just for you. May it guide you in your day.
Occupy Hope with Us
by Tara Simkins
When your child, or someone you love, is diagnosed with cancer, you no longer have to figure out what to hope for.
Deep in your heart.
Deep in your soul.
Deep in your bones.
With every fiber of your being,
You hope for a cure.
This kind of hope occupies every moment of every day like an unexpected guest.
You begin to live inside of this hope because to live outside of it is unbearable.
Your friends and family join you in living in this hope.
That is what each of you are doing with us during these 30 days ~ living inside the hope for a cure and realizing this hope for every family living in this world today.
Breathe in hope.
Let the hope nourish you.
And breathe out.
Use the hope to nourish those who surround you.
Thank you for occupying this hope-filled space with us as we do what we can to increase cures.
Your donation is helping us turn this hope into life itself.
Breathe in hope,
And breathe out a cure.
We hope you will feel called to donate today.
P.S. Our goals for ACTION are so audacious they literally cannot be achieved without your help. For the entire month of September, every dollar donated to Press On ~ up to $250,000! ~ will be MATCHED for Target Pediatric AML (“TpAML”), a MOONSHOT project aimed at identifying genomic targets for pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia patients so that researchers can create specific, targeted treatments. These targeted ~ and consequently less toxic ~ treatments FOR KIDS are what Press On is all about! Please, if you are comfortable doing so, take just a few minutes of your time to DONATE NOW and SHARE today’s blog post on your Facebook page, or share via personal email with friends whom you believe have the passion to help us make a difference.
Thank you for supporting the Press On Fund!
